| My Concierge - Hawaii's Big Island |
Happy Vacations' list of activities for Hawaii's Big Island is a tribute to the unwavering dedication of the Happy Vacations Tours & Activities Product Testing Team. Again, no golf course left unplayed, no pupu left untouched and no mai tai left half full. Hawaii's Big Island is fun to navigate by car, and most activity locations are relatively easy to find. The weather tends to be somewhat warmer than the other islands, so we recommend planning your activities in the morning, leaving the afternoons to relax near the ocean or pool. Some other tips: - Wear sunscreen whenever you're outdoors unless your preferred skin tone is lobster.
- Golf: Arrive at least 30 minutes early for golf tee times. If you need to cancel your tee time, call at least 48 hours ahead.
- For activities that include hotel pick up, make sure you are waiting at the designated pick up spot when the bus arrives. Drivers will not wait for late sleepers.
- Cameras, hats, sunscreen, sunglasses and comfortable shoes are great to bring. On water or trek adventures, bring a bathing suit, towel and possibly mosquito repellent. Extras that are a hassle to carry around: books, frisbees and beer.
- Don't stick your hand in anything that's glowing red, molten hot and smells of sulfur.
