Casa Mariposa (Butterfly House) Uniquely private, Casa Mariposa is the highest on the property and has the most amazing view of the ocean and coastline. It is the perfect romantic getaway! One can easily sit for hours looking at the ocean and the birds from the patio. Mariposa was built in 1981 as a one-bedroom bungalow and rebuilt into a two bedroom-two bath house in 2002. It has a splash pool built into patio which is a great place to take a quick dip to cool off
Mariposa is a one bedroom house with a splash pool built into patio, a great place to take a quick dip on a hot day. It's built above and behind the owners home. The house has a living room/kitchen with amazing views in all directions. Patios face both the beach and the mountains for all day sun. The bedroom/bath suite has a queen-size bed and shuttered doors that open to the patio and pool. There are sheets, towels, music (CD and tape), coffee grinder and a reasonably well setup kitchen. You can reach the beach and village by taking the walkway and steps down through the property or by walking the back road.
To get to the house you will come on to the property Cielo. You will go up some stairs and then walk towards the beach. After a few yards, you will see a walk way going up to the left and this is the way to Casa Mariposa, walking through a garden with flowering plants, grapefruit and lime trees. Across the garden is Casa Jardin. At the end of the garden are steps leading up to the house. As you walk on to the patio, you will see one of the most amazing views you will see anywhere in the world. The pool and lounge chairs are there, waiting for you to lay back and relax!
