Bike,
Hike, Sea Kayak and Raft in Wyoming's Wilderness
The pristine wilderness and rugged beauty of America's most beloved
national parks Grand Teton and Yellowstone set the stage
for our action-packed adventure. In six extraordinary days, we'll discover
waterfalls, buffalo herds, and thundering geysers in Yellowstone, a
premier geological treasure. In the Tetons, we'll bike backroads and
raft the Snake River's rapids.
Day 1 Upper Geyser Basin. Pedal through Bridger-Teton National
Forest with a gradual descent through beautiful alpine meadows to the
Buffalo River valley. Then head to Yellowstone and walk through Upper
Geyser Basin with the world's largest concentration of active geysers.
Witness Old Faithful's dramatic performance and settle in to the comforts
of Old Faithful Inn, dating from 1903.
Day 2 Yellowstone Lake. After a last viewing of Old Faithful's
predictable eruption, head off to hike to the summit of Avalanche Peak
with breathtaking, panoramic views of the craggy, snow-capped Absaroka
peaks and the serene waters of Yellowstone Lake.
Day 3 Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Spend the morning watching
wildlife in pastoral Hayden Valley and then hike the golden-hued rim
of Yellowstone's Grand Canyon to view the chasm and Lower Falls from
Artist's Point.
Day 4 West Thumb Geyser Basin-Grand Tetons. Explore geothermal
features and underwater geysers by sea kayak and witness the diversity
of wildlife that call the park home. Then it's off to the Tetons and
a sumptuous meal.
Day 5 Grand Tetons. Choose your own adventure! Spend the day
in Grand Teton National Park hiking, rock climbing, horseback riding,
or fly-fishing.
Day 6 Snake River-Jackson. Pedal through wildlife-filled Antelope
Flats before boarding rafts for a thrilling afternoon of whitewater
fun and the conclusion of our memorable journey in Jackson.
