Hike,
Bike, Ride Horseback, Sea Kayak and Raft the Wild West Coast
From the tranquil shores of Howe Sound to the alpine village of
Whistler, we've wrapped the best of British Columbia into one amazing
trip. In what the Canadians call "Sea-to-Sky Country," we'll
hike and ride horseback through lush forests and above the clouds,
raft rapids through sheer canyons, bike along cascading streams, and
sea kayak among sea lions and whales. In fact, we'll discover why
British Columbia is considered one of the most spectacular destinations
in the world!
Days 1-2 Vancouver-Squamish. After shuttling from Vancouver,
we paddle along rugged shoreline to the glacial inlet of Howe Sound.
After a beachside barbecue, we continue on to the outdoor adventure
mecca of Squamish followed by a hike through lush forests and serene
lakes and an option to summit the granite monolith of Stawamus Chief.
Days 3-4 Squamish-Whistler. Our next day brings us down the
Class III-IV whitewater of the Eleaho River before sampling mountain
biking near one of Canada's highest waterfalls. We then transfer to
Whistler to trek above tree line via the Musical Bumps. Here we truly
experience the meaning of "Sea-to-Sky Country".
Days 5-6 Pemberton-Vancouver. Saddle up for a horseback ride
set beneath Pemberton's ice-capped peaks followed by a hike to Joffre
Lakes, complete with spectacular views of glaciers and turquoise alpine
lakes. On our last day, we cycle the Brohm Lake trail system and conclude
our adventure in Vancouver.
