3 Days / 2 Nights • The River Kwai
Immortalized by the famous film, the River Kwai now flows peacefully into caves and over waterfalls, carving its way through the lush vegetation of the jungle.
Day 1: BANGKOK - DAMNOEN SADUAK - RIVER KWAI (L) Pick up from your hotel in Bangkok and then depart for a visit of Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Continue to Kanchanaburi; visit the Bridge of the River Kwai upon arrival. Then board on the original death railway train to Nam Tok station passing over the dangerous looking wooded viaduct built along the mountain.
Arrive at Nam Tok station, the terminal station of the Thai-Burma railway and transfer for lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, continue to Pung Waan Resort. Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight at Pung Waan Kwai Noi Resort.
Day 2: KANCHANABURI (B, L)
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for a visit of Lava Cave by long tail boat and continue to Sai Yok Yai Waterfalls with its stunning jungle back. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue by long tail boat to the hotel for check-in. Overnight at Pung Waan Kwai Noi Resort.
Day 3: KANCHANABURI - BANGKOK (B, L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to visit the Khmer temple “Prasart Muang Sing” and continue route to Nakorn Pathom. Upon arrival, visit Phra Pathom Chedi, the largest pagoda in Thailand. Then depart for Wat Thumasala to visit the most beautiful crematoria in Thailand. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the late afternoon, arrive at your hotel in Bangkok.
