3 Days / 2 Nights River Kwai / Ayuthaya / Mekhala
A journey of discovery starting with a scenic road to Kanchanaburi to visit the ruined temples of the second capital of Siam “Ayuthaya” and ending with the Mekhala cruise along the River of Kings.
Day 1: BANGKOK - RIVER KWAI (L)
Pick up from your hotel in Bangkok early morning and depart for Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Enjoy a boat trip along the canal to the Floating Market. Continue by road to Kanchanburi to visit the famous River Kwai Bridge and World War II Cemetery. Lunch at a local restaurant, then drive to Pung Waan Resort. Stop en route to visit Kaeng Lava Cave, which is well known for its fantastic stone formation, by boat. Overnight at Pung Waan Kwai Noi Resort.
Day 2: RIVER KWAI - AYUTHAYA - MEKHALA (B, L, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Ayuthaya for a visit of the temple ruins and lunch at a local restaurant. Then transfer by long tail boat to visit Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace. After that board the Mekhala cruise. Candlelit dinner and overnight on the Mekhala.
Day 3: MEKHALA - BANGKOK (B)
Participate in a Buddhist religious offering ceremony in the temple (optional). Breakfast on board while cruising to Bangkok, passing spectacular views of the Grand Palace and the Temple of Dawn. Arrive in Bangkok in the late morning and transfer to your hotel in Bangkok.
