Escape To The Tropical Islands
Imagine yourself stretched out on the sun-soaked deck of an exquisite, meticulously crafted oriental yacht. As the junk slips through the tropical sea, you sip lazily from your ice cold cocktail and marvel at the spectacular seascape around you: picture postcard skies, sparkling azure waters and a breathtaking island shoreline with beautiful natural bays.
Such is life on the decks of the Suwan Macha, which offers two itineraries, each lasting 4 days and 3 nights.
Day 1 : PHUKET – PHANG NGA
Hotel pick-up Saturday in Phuket and transfer bt air-conditioned mini-bus to the Suwan Macha. It sets sail for Phang Nga Bay and arrives at James Bond Island in time for the glorious sunset. The day comes to a perfect end as a mouth watering Thai seafood dinner is served onboard.
Day 2 : PHANG NAG – KRABI
After an American breakfast on deck, start with a cruise of the dramatic limestone formations that surround Phang Nga Bay before a visit to the exotic Sea Gypsy Village through the mangrove delta by long tail boat. Lunch is served under sail to Krabi and the afternoon is spent snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing by a deserted island.
Day 3 : KRABI – PHI PHI ISLAND
After a hearty breakfast on deck, it’s a pleasant morning’s sail to the idyllic Phi Phi Islands for lunch followed by an afternoon of snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing. Dinner is served on deck and the evening is free to explore the delights of Phi Phi.
Day 4 : PHI PHI ISLAND – PHUKET
The customary breakfast is followed by a discovery cruise of the islabd. After lunch, it’s a change of craft for an air-conditioned motor boat and a jaunt to the truly awe inspiring Viking Caves or Maya Bay (The Beach) before finally streeting a course back to your hotel in Phuket, arriving at approximately 18.00 on Tuesday.
The Choice Is Yours
A
lternatively you can leave Phuket at 08.00 on Tuesdays for Phi Phi Island via air-conditioned motor boat. There you can board the Suwan Macha after lunch and take the entire cruise in reverse, disembarking in Phuket at 11.00 on Friday.
Sailing Magical Phang Nga Bay
Thailand’s southern coastline must surely rank as one of the most stunning in the world. Right from the tip of Burma through to the holiday paradise of Phuket up to balmy Malaysia, lush green limestone cliffs soar from the crystal clear waters. And if you’d be right – this place has been a favorite with filmmakers worldwide. At Phi Phi Island the combination of beautiful coral and emerald waters create a snorkelers’ dream come true. Rocky cliffs soar a thousand feet above to shelter the host of underwater caves below.
Whilst aboard the Suwan Macha, simply relax and allow the captain an his crew of three attend to the details from splicing the sails to slicing the lime for your first drink of the day. Indulge yourself in the pleasures of life on the ocean wave: sumptuous feasts of Thai and Continental cuisine from the galley, sunbathing, sightseeing, snorkeling and canoeing.
