Day 1: Bangkok-Kanchanaburi-Hua Hin
Depart by road from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi to visit World War II cemetery of Allied prisoners and famous Bridge over the River Kwai. After lunch in Petchaburi, visit Khao Luang Cave with its many Buddha statues, King Mongkut’s Summer Palace, Wat Maha That and Wat Ko. Take local train from Petchaburi to seaside resort town of Hua Hin. (L,D)
Day 2: Hua Hin - Ranong
Visit the renovated Royal Summer Palace, continuing by road to Prachuab Khiri Khan with lunch en route. Visit Khao Chong Krajok, an idyllic bay flanked by mountains. Walk up 415 steps to hilltop pagoda for panoramic views. By bus to Ranong stopping at Punyaban waterfall. (B,L,D)
Day 3: Ranong - Krabi
Visit bustling fishing pier, followed by short boat trip to Victoria Point, southernmost point in Myanmar (Burma). After lunch proceed to Krabi. (B,L,D)
Day 4: Krabi
Morning boat excursion to escapist island of Koh Poda and Pranang Cave with time for swimming and snorkelling. After lunch, visit Susarn Hoi, a cemetery of shells, and a lovely beach of fine sand, for swimming and relaxation. (B,L,D)
Day 5: Krabi - Phangnga - Phuket
Continue by road to Phangnga, with brief stop at Than Bokkorani National Park, then visit Suwan Kuha Cave with its many Buddha statues. Continue with three-hour boat ride in Phangnga Bay, with dozens of steep limestone formations soaring out of the water. Stop at Muslim fishing village built on stilts. Continue by bus to Phuket Island visiting a rubber plantation en route. Transfer to hotel. (B,L)
